Kelly Rowland has reportedly been left devastated after Beyoncé Knowles nixed ideas of a Destiny’s Child reunion tour.
The former band recently released an album of their best known hits called Love Songs, which also included a new track. Kelly and Michelle Williams also joined their former bandmate Beyoncé on stage when she performed at the Super Bowl recently and there has been speculation they could be planning to team up again in the future.
However, earlier this month Kelly was seen crying after a lunch date with Beyoncé and it’s been suggested her future plans were the reason for Kelly’s tears.
“Kelly was hoping to convince Beyoncé to reunite for one more ‘swan song’ album and tour,” a source told Heat magazine. “But Beyoncé broke her heart by saying that her solo career takes precedence at the moment. Kelly’s devastated.”
Beyoncé’s career has been going from strength to strength lately. She announced her new tour the Mrs Carter Show after her Super Bowl performance and also released a documentary about her life called Life Is But A Dream.
Her personal life is also flourishing as her husband Jay-Z was seen supporting her backstage after the iconic sports event and the pair have daughter Blue Ivy together.
“Kelly’s sad because she’s getting older and wants a baby and to find love. She worried that she’s running out of time,” the source explained.
