LeAnn Rimes has filed a malpractice lawsuit against her dentist Dr. Duane C. McKay.

According to TMZ the singer claims that the doctor did faulty work on her mouth over the past three years.

LeAnn believes that his allegedly poor treatments have adversely affected her musical career.

She has had upper front veneers and crowns put in place by Dr. McKay amongst other work.

Legal documents that the website obtained claim that LeAnn is suffering from “permanent cosmetic deficiency” due to the dentist’s misconduct.

The star states that she has had nine root canals, bone grafting, a temporary bridge and physical therapy all resultant of Dr. McKay messing up her mouth.

In October of last year, LeAnn took to Twitter to share with fans the pain she was feeling in her gums.

"I feel like I got hit in my right side of my face with a baseball bat,” she tweeted.

LeAnn is requesting an unspecified amount in damages for emotional, psychiatric and physical injuries.

She also wants the dentist to fork over cash to cover loss of earnings for past and future performances.
