Frank Ocean wants “peace” between himself and Chris Brown following their brawl.

The musicians are claimed to have got into a fight outside Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles on Sunday January 27.

According to Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore, Grammy-nominated singer Frank was “desirous of prosecution” initially, as he accused Chris of starting the fight.

Frank no longer wants to press charges against Chris, as he has moved on from the altercation.

"As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man," Frank wrote on his Tumblr account.

"But as a man I am not a killer. I'm an artist and a modern person. I'll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace."

Surveillance footage of the brawl obtained by officials reportedly vindicated both Frank and Chris, as it appeared that their entourages were the main parties throwing blows.

Any charges made against Brown could have had serious implications for his probation stemming from his 2009 assault of his then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown and Ocean are both nominated in the best urban contemporary album category at the Grammys, which take place on February 10 in Los Angeles.
