Morrissey has cancelled six more shows on his U.S. tour after being diagnosed with a bleeding ulcer.

The singer was admitted to a hospital in Royal Oak, MI on Thursday for what was said to be a bladder infection; however, word has now come down that he is actually suffering from a bleeding ulcer.

His rep released a short statement saying ""Morrissey apologizes greatly for any and all inconvenience and looks forward to continuing his U.S. tour." They went on to say that he is expected to make a full recovery.

The dates affected:

•01/28 - Asheville, NC - Orange Peel
•01/29 - Nashville, TN - Ryman Auditorium
•01/31 - Atlanta, GA - Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre
•02/02 - Lawrence, KS - Liberty Hall
•02/05 - Clear Lake, IA - Surf Ballroom
•02/06 - Lincoln, NE - Rococo Theatre

His next scheduled shows are February 9 in Las Vegas and February 10 in Tempe, AZ.
