Ellie Goulding is an avid reader.
The 26-year-old Starry Eyed singer has a voracious appetite for literature.
Ellie shares her love of tomes with everyone she knows at Christmastime.
“I like gifting people with books and alcohol,” she told Us Weekly.
“My favourite book is Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks.”
Running is one of Ellie’s most cherished pastimes.
If the singer had a second career, she would be employed in the fitness field.
“My fastest half marathon time is 1 hour 40 minutes,” Ellie shared.
“About 200 people turned up to a 5K run with me in Sydney. I used to do tae kwon do and capoeira, and I also surf. If I had the time, I would study to be a personal trainer!”
Although Ellie loves to exercise, she is elated about having the opportunity to make music for a living.
She has experienced a number of amazing events as a result of her musicianship.
“I sang for Prince William and Duchess Kate at their royal wedding,” she gushed.
“I once performed for [President] Barack Obama and his family!”
Ellie’s second studio album Halcyon was released in October 2012.
