X Factor lose out to Strictly Come Dancing at box office

The battle between X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing has moved off the box and into the box office with both reality favourites set to tour the country next year.

viagogo, the world's largest ticket marketplace, has seen a 93 per cent increase in demand for Strictly Come Dancing, The Live Tour in the last week alone, despite the show not yet reaching its climactic finale.

X Factor Winner, James Arthur, may be on track to sell a record number of singles, making demand for X Factor Live tickets surge, but he still faces an impossible challenge, with demand for tickets to see this year's wannabe popsters being outstripped by Strictly three to one.

Organisers of Strictly Come Dancing can shake a celebratory tail feather as the show is currently in the top five most popular shows on viagogo.
