RealPlayaz – the label run by Kiss FM’s DJ Hype and his former Ganja Kru partner Pascal – has been throwing monthly all night parties with the biggest names in drum and bass for over a decade.
Playaz Nights, which began at the (now defunct) London nightclub The End before migrating to current residency at super club Fabric have achieved cult status on the scene and drawn an audience from around the globe.
On December 27th over 40 artists and MCs will take to Fabric’s sound-system and celebrate as the night clocks the 150 mark.
DJ Hazard (who is signed to the RealPlayaz label) told Music News ‘,it’s an honour to be performing at this event’ and Taxman added ‘Playaz at Fabric is always a guaranteed sick night. Great set up, great crowd, great club…’ These two will also be joined by heroes of the scene DJ EZ, Fabio and Potential Badboy – as well as a two hour set from DJ Hype.
Label head-honcho Pascal told us ’,When we first started doing these nights we never thought we'd get to a ton and a half shows but the fact that we've reached the magic 150 mark just proves the longevity of the tunes and epic talent of our roster. We think it's the perfect round off to a year of national celebrations and we won't be stopping the party any time soon.’
Tickets cost £18 in advance and are available from Fabric or the RealPlayaz website. There will be a limited edition tshirt available on the night also, listing every artist who has performed in the event’s history.
