After selling out their last two London shows, The Mars Patrol return this Thursday 29 November to play a headline show at London's Garage.

Last week the band released their brand new 5 track EP, 'Young Lovers' exclusively to all those who pledged in the recent Pledge Music campaign.

Pledge Music is a way for bands to pre-sell their record in order to raise money to be able to record it. Keen to immerse themselves fully in the production of the record (produced by guitarist Ross Nelson and mixed by grammy award winner Tim Palmer), the band retreated to a cottage in the country side for the duration.

"It was a great way to stay focused and get the creative juices going" says singer Davina Divine. "It was literally us and our music, no distractions - except from a few visiting bats, that is. We're so proud of the final product and can't wait to share it with everyone".

Guitarist Ross Nelson says: "This will be the first time we play any of our new EP live so we are excited about that. The response we have had from fans about the new songs has been phenomenal which is a good sign we are doing things right."

The official release of Young Lovers is expected in early 2013. The band will now proceed to fulfil all the other various pledges that were made as well as donate 10% of raised funds to the Alzheimer's Scotland Charity.

There will be a limited amount of the new EP available at the band's upcoming London show. Tickets available from www.themarspatrol.com/tour
