Neil Finn to perform at The Hobbit world premiere

Neil Finn will perform live at the World Premiere of The Hobbit this afternoon in New Zealand.

‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ is the first in a trilogy of films for Sir Peter Jackson, the man behind ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy.

Neil Finn will play at the premiere screening from 4pm today at the Embassy Theater in Wellington.

Sir Peter Jackson will be there to walk the red carpet along with Elijah Wood, Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Jonny Toogood from Shihad and New Zealand Prime Minister John Key and Governor General Lt Gen Rt Hon Sir Jerry Mateparae.

‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ stars Sir Ian McKellen in his Gandalf the Grey role from Lord of the Rings, Hugo Weaving as Elrond and Elijah Wood as Frodo as well as an appearance from Barry Humphries.
