The Guitar Center has announced that Rush will be the next inductee to their RockWalk. The walk, at their Sunset Boulevard store in Hollywood, honors artists who "have made a significant impact and lasting contribution to the growth and evolution of Rock 'n' Roll, Blues and R&B.

The invite only ceremony on November 20 will unveil their hand prints, signatures and faces along other inductees such as Eric Clapton, George Martin, Jimmy Page, Johnny Cash, AC/DC and many more.

"We are very pleased to have been chosen by our peers and fellow musicians for induction in Guitar Center's Rock Walk," said Rush's Geddy Lee. "It is an honor to have our names added to this illustrious list of great and highly talented musicians."

"Not only is Rush extraordinary as a band, but each member is incredibly talented in their own right," said Dave Weiderman, Chairman of Guitar Center's RockWalk. "With nearly thirty years together, this group has consistently delivered skilled musicianship, experimental-drive and stylistically diverse rock to music fans worldwide. In short – Rush is long-deserving of being honored by Guitar Center's RockWalk."

On December 18, Mercury Records will release a deluxe edition of the group's fourth studio album 2112. While an official announcement has not been made, leaks by various people involved say that the 1976 album will be formatted much like the rereleases of Moving Pictures, A Farewell to Kings, Fly By Night and Signals with Amazon listing three separate releases, CD plus Audio DVD with 5.1 Mix, CD Plus Audio Blu-Ray and CD Plus Audio Blu-Ray Super Deluxe Edition (nothing is known about what makes it "Super Deluxe" at this time).
