Jersey Shore's JWoww feared she'd "officially lost her mind" as Hurricane Sandy hit America last night.

The star tweeted her worry as super storm Sandy slammed the East Coast late last night. The impact triggered massive blackouts and caused flash flooding.

"I have officially lost my mind," JWoww tweeted. "Wish I was home."

JWoww, who is currently in sunny Los Angeles, revealed how nervous she was about the storm's effect on her hometown of New Jersey.

The star explained she hadn't heard from her fiancé Roger Mathews, who she left behind, while she promotes the final season of Jersey Shore around the US.

"Haven't been able to get a hold of @RogerMathewsNJ for 5 hrs now hope he is okay (sic)," she tweeted after an earlier message explaining how she was "just hoping for the best."

Also affected by the storm's destruction was JWoww's Jersey Shore co-star Snooki. She and a number of other celebrities were plunged into chaos as millions of people were left without power during the storm's rampage.

"Ahhhhh our power went out!" Snooki tweeted. "Winds are crazy...."

Actress Emma Watson took to Twitter to share her concerns with director Darren Aronofsky and leading man Russell Crowe upon learning that Hurricane Sandy was shutting down production on Noah. Emma tweeted: "I take it that the irony of a massive storm holding up the production of Noah is not lost @DarrenAronofsky @russellcrowe @MattyLibatique."

The giant replica of the biblical ark used in movie Noah is located in Oyster Bay, New York, which experienced winds up to 70 miles per hour. It is not known if the structure survived the storm.

Pop singer Nicki Minaj was another star who expressed concern for loved ones in the path of the storm. Yesterday she tweeted about her constant fear for her mother.

"Can't stop worrying about the storm on the East coast... =( Chkn on mommy every 5 seconds... praying for my family & friends and ALL OF YOU, (sic)" Nicki wrote.
