Michael Bolton to play himself in new comedy series

Michael Bolton may be about to take his career to the next level as he is in talks with ABC to star in the pilot for Michael Bolton's Daughter Is Destroying My Life, a new comedy series.

According to Deadline Hollywood, the concept for the show comes from actress Allison Miller of the new NBC comedy Go On and will be written by Tami Sagher (30 Rock). The description of the show:

.tells the story of a naïve young writer who moves to the big city and ends up taking a job heading 'social media' for singer-songwriter Michael Bolton. The writer quickly learns she has her hands full with Bolton and the wild-child daughter he has recently taken in.

Bolton would be one of the executive producers of the show while Miller would produce. The singer recently appeared as himself on an episode of Two and a Half Men.
