Simon Cowell is reportedly wild about sheep placenta facials.

The 52-year-old music mogul is known for his eccentric beauty treatments.

Sheep placenta facials require that an aesthetician smear stem cells from animals raised in New Zealand all over the client’s visage.

Apparently Simon spends over $500 per session to benefit from the revitalising properties of the treatment, which is conducted at Beverly Hills Lancer dermatology clinic.

“He loves it!” a source told British newspaper The Mirror.

“Simon is forever trawling the health and beauty market, looking for all the latest fads.

“He’s tried vitamin injections, drips, detoxes, smoothies, Botox and massages, but after reading rave reviews about placenta facials, decided he had to give them a go.”

It is thought that Simon is in awe of how much his looks have altered since he began the regimen.

“He reckons they take years off his complexion, and give him back the shine and joie de vivre long hours and smoking take away,” the source said.

Simon partakes in other unusual methods to keep himself robust.

An intravenous vitamin drip mixed with a medley of nutrients such as magnesium, vitamin C, and vitamin B12 is a weekly tradition for him.
