Kim Kardashian thrilled with pet cat

Kim Kardashian''s new cat Mercy keeps her company when her boyfriend Kanye West isn''t around.

The 31-year-old reality TV show star's significant other recently gave her a white Persian kitten.

Kim's new pet will accompany her in Florida while she shoots Kourtney and Kim Take Miami.

"With me being in Miami, Kanye knew I would need some company when he wasn''t around, so he surprised me with her," she explained on her official blog.

Though rumours are circulating that Kim's family is worried she will turn her back on her family's empire due to her relationship with Kanye, they seem to approve of Kanye's latest addition to the Kardashian clan.

Kim's sister Khloé took to her own blog to gush about Mercy, who's named after a song on Kanye's Cruel Summer album.

'We are all madly in love! How cute is she?! (sic)' Khloé wrote. 'I might have to sneak her in my suitcase when I head back to L.A.'
