Missy Elliott previews new Timbaland track

It has been years, but Missy Elliott finally previews new music with Timbaland.

Elliott has been promising new music for quite some time, since it has been a solid seven years since her last album The Cookbook.

Well, she’s announcing her return with a 90-second snippet of a new song titled ‘9th Inning’, which has Missy crowing, “Timbaland, they thought it was over/ We on that next shit/ They’re back!”

She has already performed the song live, but the fans on her site are pretty grumpy that instead of posting the two songs she promised, they only get a snippet of one.

It’s not much, but it’s something from a woman who stormed the hip-hop scene in the new millennium, so it’s very welcome.
