Swiss Zydeco trio Mama Rosin have given the release date for their new album as 8th October with dates to follow.

Since forming in 2008 Swiss-French trio Cyril Yeterian, Robin Girod and Xavier Bray have forged a unique sound all of their own. Drawing from a wide range of musical styles encompassing delta blues, cajun roots and rock'n'roll, Mama Rosin have earned the accolade as being the original purveyors of a fierce musical hybrid coined 'Zydepunk' of 'Cajunk'.

They will be touring to coincide with the release of their fourth album, 'Bye Bye Bayou' to be released on their own label, the vinyl only Moi J'Connais imprint, on which they harness their passion for the music of the Gulf of Mexico by reissuing undiscovered cajun, zydeco, calypso and tropicalia gems. Produced by Jon Spencer of the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, the album promises to deliver more of their their high-voltage, distinctive songs whilst showcasing their ever expanding musical palette.

The album is described as 'Mama Rosin's unique vision ' Louisiana swamp grooves meet New York CBGB white heat/white noise ' found Jon Spencer, leader of Blues Explosion, Boss Hog, Heavy Trash and producer of 'punk rock blues' veterans' RL Burnside and Andre Williams, embracing the band.

The autumn tour will be:

12/10 LONDON Jazz Cafe
