Jimmy Bain of Rainbow and Dio charged with drunk driving

Jimmy Bain, the former bassist for Rainbow and Dio, was arrested for drunk driving following an car accident on Tuesday night in Burbank, CA.

Bain turned left out of a store's parking lot, not seeing an oncoming driver who hit his 1995 Toyota Camry. When Burbank police arrived, they became suspicious of Bain's sobriety and administered standard tests which he failed.

In addition, they found that he had Vicodin for which he didn't have a prescription and that he had an outstanding felony warrant.

Bain was released on Wednesday after posting $60,000 bail.

The bassist played with Rainbow from 1975 to 1977, Wild Horses from 1978 to 1982 and Dio from 1983 to 1989 and 1999 to 2005.
