Robbie Williams has turned to Victoria Beckham for advice on the birth of his first child.

The 'Angels' singer and his wife Ayda Field have booked the VIP birthing suite at London's Portland Hospital on Victoria's recommendation.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Robbie is so excited about becoming a dad but he wants everything to be perfect and he's doing everything in his power to make the birth stress-free and faultless.

"Victoria's personal gynaecologist Malcolm Gillard has retired now, but his successor and his whole team will be assisting Rob and Ayda.

"They have booked a birthing suite at the unit and are really happy after meeting all the staff."

Although Robbie moved to America in 2004, he recently arranged for his heavily pregnant spouse to fly back by private jet to the UK so their daughter can be born in London.

A source explained: "Robbie has always planned for his baby to be born in Britain, it's really important to him. He moved to America to enjoy the lifestyle, anonymity and climate but his heart still belongs in the UK.

"He wants his parents around during their grandchild's early months and can't wait to enjoy a proper family Christmas."
