Ray Davies cut from Olympics celebration in US

NBC did a great disservice to music lovers in the U.S., cutting a number of numbers from the closing ceremonies of the Olympics and delaying the performance of the Who until after a sit-com pilot and local news.

According to many, one of the highlights that was not shown was Ray Davies of the Kinks performing Waterloo Sunset, one of the few songs that was reportedly done live.
