Free Daytime Sessions on Fistral Beach !!

Boardmasters have just broken the news that there will be bands playing for free in the Beach Sessions Bar at the Newquay Festival this year . Please see here for details on this and Park and Ride info for the Extreme Sports and Music Extravaganza.

Introducing the all new Daytime Music Sessions with Free Entry on Fistral Beach.

During the daytime, not only will you be able to catch the 6 Star Mens World Tour Surfing and Vans Summer Sessions: Skate & BMX, but also some fantasic acts in the Beach Sessions Bar.

All acts will be playing between 2-4pm daily.

The opening day of the Boardmasters Festival, Wednesday 8th August will see Gary & The Minefield (2.00 - 2.30pm) and The Heartbreaks (3.00 - 3.45p)

On Thursday 9th August, just one day before the Watergate Festival begins the line up includes October (2.00 - 2.30pm) and The Voice UK's, Adam Isaac (3.00 - 3.45pm).

On Sunday 12th August, the 5th and final day of the festival and after the Watergate Bay Event dust has settled, don't be too hasty to leave, or if you prefer..."Don't Go", and miss acts Garth Lee (2.00 - 2.30pm) and Josh Kumra (3.00 - 3.45pm).


New Park and Ride Scheme

The Relentless Energy Drink Boardmasters has introduced a park and ride system to help combat congestion issues in Newquay during the event.

The event taking place 8-12th August attracts a hugely inflated number to the town over the week and has resulted in traffic issues. While the increased visitor number brings much needed tourism to the community the traffic can be problematic. The new park and ride system should take huge strides in reducing this congestion.

It's as simple as parking in the field, buying your ticket to get on the bus and traveling to your destination.

The Park & Ride system will be running Monday 6th August to Monday 13th August. For directions to Park and Ride Field follow signs to for 'Boardmasters Surf P+Ride'

To make sure you don't miss any of the action a shuttle bus is available from Friday 10th - Sunday 12th to get you back and forth between the sports on Fistral Beach and the incredible music line up at Watergate Bay.
The bus will be running every 15minutes.
