Mariah Carey will appear “raw and uncut” on American Idol, insists Nick Cannon.
The singer’s husband says she will show her true character on the show. Nick promised fans that Mariah will give the judging role one hundred per cent and will reveal her funny and feisty personality.
“They’re about to get the whole Mariah Carey, raw and uncut!” Nick told Access Hollywood. “She’s going to be amazing… people don’t know my wife’s sense of humour.”
As well as revealing her fun side, Mariah will show her strong and determined character too. Nick claims Mariah can be hardnosed when she wants, especially when it comes to the vocal ability of the contestants.
“She’s very serious about music and singing,” Nick continued. “She’ll probably be the toughest judge that’s ever been on [the] show.”
Mariah has taken the place of Jennifer Lopez on the judging panel. Many have speculated the singer might make surprising demands as she is famed for her extensive riders.
Nick has joked his wife has every intention of acting like a superstar.
“Nah, that ain’t happening,” Nick joked when asked if Mariah will drop the diva act for the shows. “It’s Mariah Carey time!”
