Jennifer Lopez is reportedly holding off making a decision about her American Idol future.

The singer appeared as a judge on the talent programme for the last two seasons but there has been intense speculation about her future on the show.

The star is currently touring with Enrique Iglesias and is apparently concentrating on that for now.

“Jennifer Lopez is telling friends... she has not made up her mind on her future with American Idol... and will not make a decision until after she finishes her current concert tour with Enrique Iglesias,” reports TMZ.

It was previously claimed the 42-year-old has already informed producers she will not be coming back. That is said to be untrue, with Jennifer planning to see where things stand once her tour ends.

Jennifer is understood to have made a lot of money from her time on American Idol. In 2010, there were rumours she was paid $12 million for the series. Last year it is thought she received as much as $20 million for a single season.

Although she is yet to confirm or deny her future plans, a number of stars have already been linked to the show’s judging panel, including  Adam Lambert, Fergie and Mariah Carey.
