Elijah Wood picked up relationship tips from his favourite book.
The actor has opened up about the effect Nick Hornby's High Fidelity had on him. Studying the tome changed his life and helped form who he is today.
'It's about a guy who is searching for relationships and understanding himself,' he explained.
The Lord of the Rings star describes it as 'an amazing' read that really spoke to him.
'It feels so tailored to me', Elijah gushed as he remembered the book's impact on his life. 'It seems like a book so suited to me as a person'.
Elijah has a serious interest in music. As well as his successful acting career he has dabbled with DJ'ing and songs have always been incredibly important to the star. This was a key factor in his love of High Fidelity.
'It appealed to me both as a music fan, and as a guy,' he told NME magazine. 'It's about music and passion for music. There's all sort of wonderful music references throughout'.
Elijah remains best known for his role as Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings trilogy almost a decade ago.
This December Elijah will reprise his character for the highly anticipated movie The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
Although he enjoys portraying Frodo, Elijah can't hide his admiration for Andy Serkis' turn as Gollum.
'I think [Gollum's] definitely one of the greatest characters in all of those books and he was brought to life so brilliantly beyond whatever I could have imagined by Andy,' Elijah said.
