Jennifer Lopez is reportedly “finally seeing the reality” of her relationship with a much younger man.
The 42-year-old American Idol judge has been dating backing dancer Casper Smart, 25, for a few months now following her split from estranged husband Marc Anthony.
But insiders tell OK! magazine that the Latin beauty is concerned about how committed a father figure Casper could be to her four-year-old twins Max and Emme.
“She’s finally seeing the reality of the situation,” an insider told the publication. “Casper loves the kids but he’s not up for any real responsibility.”
“He’s happy being the good-time buddy that takes them to the water park – like a Disneyland Dad – but he’s not going to be hands-on, wipe-the-butt dad.
“That’s just not where he’s at in his life and she doesn’t blame him. He’s only 25 and she doesn’t want to rush him into anything.
“He’s just starting his career, and he’s been making some big moves as a choreographer, and Jen doesn’t want to take him away from that.”
