Singer Pink has reportedly had her gallbladder removed.

The 32-year-old star was hospitalised last week initially to treat stomach flu and painful ulcers.

The discomfort persisted and doctors discovered that Pink was suffering from a more severe health issue.

“At first she had these bad stomach pains and didn't know what it was, and then it got really bad,” a source told Life & Style magazine. “They realised she needed to have her gallbladder taken out, so she did!”

As a result of her poor health, Pink had to cancel a performance to sing at an LGBT fundraising event for President Barack Obama.

The singer took to Twitter to reveal her disappointment about calling off the June 6 show.

“I'm so bummed I can't perform for the president of the United States this Wed. night. Thanx @darrencriss for filling in for me!! #badtiming,” Pink tweeted.

Friends of the singer confirm that Pink was deeply saddened by missing her chance to meet the US head of state.

“She was upset she had to cancel on Obama,” the source said.

Pink is currently healing well from her maladies.
