Ian Curtis of Joy Division took his life 32 years ago.

After his death, Joy Division continued under the name New Order.

The band posted the following message today:

'32 years ago today Ian Kevin Curtis tragically took his life. Rest in peace Ian, though you are gone, the music lives on.'
