Jessie J has "100 per cent" promised to be "meaner" on this week's The Voice.
The songstress serves as a judge and mentor on the British version of the hit TV talent show, alongside will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and The Script's Danny O'Donoghue.
Jessie's contestants are set to perform for the first time in the live shows this weekend and the star has vowed to be constructively critical.
“I am going to be a bit meaner this week, 100 per cent. I think I have been too nice. I have said to my artists – and I hang out with them loads – ‘This is a massive thing, don’t be sad,'" she said in an interview with British talk show host Graham Norton.
“I don’t want crying and, ‘This is the end of my life.’ It’s not, it’s the beginning of an amazing career.”
Jessie is famed for her outspoken nature and confidence. However, the singer hates watching herself on the small screen.
“I don’t watch it back. I get to see enough on Twitter and people send me photos and tell me what I was wearing like it wasn’t me!" she exclaimed.
“I am so aware of how I speak. That’s why I can’t watch the show. Like, who calls Tom Jones ‘Bruv?' Me! I didn’t even realise I did it.”
