Jack White debuts at top spot in USA with 'Blunderbuss'

Jack White has gone where his other bands The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather have never gone before, to number one on the billboard chart.

The ‘Blunderbuss’ album had a convincing number one in America this week selling just over 127,000 units. That placed him over 30,000 sales ahead of the number 2 album ‘21’ from Adele which sold just under 85,000.

Lionel Richie dropped back to no. 3 with 79,000 and One Direction ‘Up All Night’ was at no. 4 with 49,000 sales.

Debuts in the US top 10 this week were Lee Brice ‘Hard 2 Love’, Kip Moore ‘Up All Night’ and The Wanted ‘The Wanted’.

Expect Top 20 debuts from Josh Abbott Band ‘Small Town Family Dream’ and Tiesto ‘Club Life Vol 2 Miami’.
