Fleet Foxes lose drummer

Joshua Tillman has apologised to fans if he was ever rude to them in a strange online goodbye.

Posting a farewell on his tumbler the drummer writes:

"Farewell Fleet Fans and Friends. Back into the gaping maw of obscurity I go. Tokyo is my last show with the Foxes. Sorry if I was distant and obtuse if we ever met. Have fun."

The band have yet to post an official statement on his departure.

Tillman has released a number of solo records, some under the moniker Father John Misty.

His last album Singing Ax came out in 2010.
