Sir Paul McCartney “dusted himself down” after falling off the stage at a recent concert.

The former Beatles star is a veteran performer with a career that spans over 50 years. However, Paul proved that no musician is safe from the odd blunder when he tripped down some stairs while leaving the stage at Liverpool’s Echo Arena.

The 69-year-old star "just dusted himself down" after the tumble.

"He's not accident-prone so it's unusual for him to be clumsy. He saw the funny side,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.

Paul also fell from a stage in Brazil earlier this year.

The legendary musician recently announced that he will be releasing a new album in 2012.

He has compiled an as-yet-untitled LP, which features covers of songs he grew up listening to, as well as two new tracks.

The album also has guest appearances from other legendary artists such as Stevie Wonder and Eric Clapton.

The official release date has been confirmed as February 6 2012.
