Fergie found the rumours about her extravagant plastic surgery “hilarious”.
Earlier this year there were reports claiming the Black Eyed Peas frontwoman had gone under the surgeon’s knife, with claims her face looked different during a performance with her band on American Idol.
The singer’s husband Josh Duhamel was quick to slam reports, saying “she’s the same Fergie”, and now the songstress has spoken about the rumours, admitting she can see the funny side.
“I thought it was hilarious! I read that I’d spent $30,000 or something... It’s just ridiculous. We had a laugh about it. So many rumours have been spread over the years and you have to learn, especially in this business, to just laugh it off,” she told the British edition of Cosmopolitan.
“If you stress about it, you’ll drive yourself crazy.”
The pop star also addressed recent reports that the Black Eyed Peas are taking a break before working on their next album. The band have been topping the international charts since 2003, when their track Where Is the Love? was a global smash.
Fergie feels she deserves a break, and is looking forward to a well-earned rest.
“I need more balance in my life. I want to be home more, not in hotels recovering from jet-lag and the chaos of touring. I need a break from that. I want to be in my house, decorating!” she smiled.
