Better Days is the new single from The Wolfmen’s debut album, Modernity Killed Every Night – hailed as “one of the freshest sounding albums of the year” by Big Cheese. This is a sumptuous blend of 00s psych/garage rock, complete with a technicolor video montaging classic 60s surf and way-out California living, and is the follow-up to May’s MOJO PLAYLIST #1 Needle In The Camel’s Eye.

Modernity Killed Every Night has already been praised from all corners: MOJO finds it “steeped in the space-age glam boogie of Bowie and T Rex with a bit of Iggy-in-Berlin thrown in,” punk rock bible Big Cheese gives it a full five stars, while FHM simply note that “There’d be no Sugar Ray, Nine Inch Nails or Robbie Williams without these boys.”

The boys in question? The Wolfmen is formed of Marco Pirroni (Siouxsie & The Banshees/Adam & The Ants/Sinead O’Connor) and Chris Constantinou (Adam Ant/Jackie Onassid/Iggy Pop) but as RADIO 1’s BOBBY FRICTION says, “They’ve got pedigree, a full-on pedigree. I’ve been playing them on Radio 1 but – you know what? – f*** pedigree, they’re an amazing band and they’re going to take you somewhere else musically...”

The band have recently returned from recording in India with Bollywood superstar Daler Mehndi. Together they recorded last year’s monster single Two Eyes – as spun by JO WHILEY and ZANE LOWE on Radio 1. A full album with Mehndi is in the works previewed recently in ROLLING STONE as an “unheard-of meld.”
