Take That singer Howard Donald is fearing for his life after being bombarded with death threats from a female stalker.

The 39-year-old star is preparing to increase his security after a crazed fan known only as Kendra started tracking his every move and penning "evil" hate mail.

A source said: "It started several months back when she started telling him she was his future wife.

"This woman went everywhere the band did - and she literally turned up at every hotel where the band were staying on tour.

"Lately she has become really nasty and some of the things she says in her letters are plain evil and some have even contained death threats."

Howard's bandmates, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Gary Barlow, are so concerned for his safety they have begged him to hire Beyoncé Knowles 400lb ex-minder 'Shorty'.

The source added to Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "As well as the murderous threats, she writes all sorts of kinky stuff that she wants to do to Howard.

"She is completely fixated with him so the other band members have told Howard he needs someone like Shorty."

Take That - who split in 1995 and reunited 10 years later - have been plagued by obsessed fans throughout their pop career.

Last month, the group - who played a spectacular New Year's Eve(31.12.07) concert at London's O2 arena - were forced to call in security when a drunken woman tried to force her way into the boys' hotel room.
