Natasha wins DMA Award

Natasha Bedingfield walked away with the Best Pop Artist gong at the BT Digital Music Awards after wowing the crowd with a performance of her new single.

Digital stalwarts The Chemical Brothers picked up the Best Electronic Artist or DJ award, despite stiff competition from Just Jack and Calvin Harris.

Funeral For A Friend were named Artist Of The Year and Muse were awarded the Best Rock/Indie Artist Award.

Lemar beat off competition from Beverley Knight and Lethal Bizzle to win Best Urban Artist.

Other winners at the event celebrating digital entertainment included Ludacris for Best Mobile Campaign, Keane for Best official Website and NME.com for Best Music Magazine.

A total of 21 gongs were announced by Sara Cox at the event at the Camden Roundhouse - 13 of which were voted for by music fans and seven by a panel of experts.

Natasha said her website was her "main connection" with her fans.

"People don't send snail mail any more - it's all about what's online so it's the main way I can find out what people are thinking.

"It's a lot of fun too. People who are on my website often end up being friends and there is a bit of a community."
