ICMP students were given the opportunity to meet James Walsh, front man of alt rock band Starsailor, before watching him perform an intimate acoustic set as part of the monthly Shuga Buddha night at The Bedford in Balham, South London.

ICMP songwriting students were excited to meet James before he delivered an outstanding, stripped-down acoustic set to a packed house. Starsailor hit the scene in 2001, getting signed to EMI, charting four albums and scoring ten Top 40 singles in the UK, including 'Silence is Easy' and 'Good Souls'.

The ICMP recently launched their Professional Diploma in Songwriting and is extremely proud of its newly appointed songwriting faculty, which includes some of the most sought after songwriters in the industry. The one-year, highly practical course, sponsored by Columbia Records, covers the skills and knowledge required to develop raw songwriting talent into professional careers.
