Sparrow and the Workshop are proud to announce they will be supporting Idlewild as of next week, plus a new London date has been confirmed. The Idlewild tour starts this Sunday 1st November taking in a run of dates in Scotland, full details of this and the London show on the 24th November are below.

The Glaswegian alt folk trio are set to release a new single entitled 'A Horse's Grin' on the 16th November through Distiller Records. The track is taken from their second short player 'Into The Wild', which will be released on the 23rd of November. The single will be available on download and the seven track short player will be available on 12' vinyl and CD.

Sparrow and The Workshop made a remarkable first burst into the music world with their debut single 'Devil Song' earlier this year, receiving huge exposure on Radio 2 and NME Radio as well as being featured as Steve Lamacq's favourite new band on 6music.

The current tour follows on from supporting Edinburgh's Broken Records on a full UK tour this year, plus coveted support slots with British Sea Power at London's Regent Park's Open Air Theatre and The Lemonheads at Glasgow's ABC. The band also played the BBC Introducing tent at Glastonbury Festival and, most recently, played in the Tipi tent at the End of the Road festival in Dorset.

Live dates:

2nd Nov Fat Sams, Dundee
4th Nov HMV Picture House, Edinburgh
5th Nov Ironworks, Inverness
6th Nov Moshulu, Aberdeen
7th Nov BA Club, Fort William
24th Nov The Slaughtered Lamb, London (own show)
