Placebo confirm Sonisphere & new single

PLACEBO CONFIRM APPEARANCE AT SONISPHERE FESTIVAL SUMMER 2010
NEW SINGLE 'BRIGHT LIGHTS' RELEASED ON FEBRUARY 8TH

Following a hugely successful UK tour and triumphant London headline show at the 02 this month, Placebo are pleased to announce that they will be joining the bill at this year's Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth on the weekend of July 30th ' 1st August. Placebo will be joining a line-up that already boasts Iron Maiden, Rammstein and Slayer amongst others on the bill.

Having already had an incredible year to date which has seen the band play to over 1 million people across the globe and pick up MTV EMA's Best Alternative Act award, Placebo are also set to release a new version of 'Bright Lights', mixed by Dave Bascombe (Soulwax, Goldfrapp, LadyHawke and Funeral For A Friend) on February 8th 2010 to continue where they left off in 2009.

With their latest album 'Battle For The Sun' having sold over half a million sales worldwide so far this year and garnering critical acclaim across the board, Placebo have proved themselves to be just as relevant as they ever were:
