PINK FLOYD had reportedly filed a lawsuit against EMI over unpaid royalties.

The band, who signed to the label in 1967, are claiming that they are yet to receive royalties for sales of their back catalogue.

The dispute is reported to have arisen during routine three-year negotiations with new owners Terra Firma, a private equity firm.

Terra Firma, who purchased the record company in 2007 for £4 billion and have since attempted to cut costs, is also blamed for the departure of acts including Radiohead and Paul McCartney.

EMI and Pink Floyd are yet to release a statement.
