Freddie Mercury tops Ultimate Rock God poll

Freddie Mercury has been crowned Ultimate Rock God in a new poll.

The late Queen frontman has topped a OnePoll survery of 4000 people, beating Elvis Presley in the process.

Even Elvis was forced into second place, while Jon Bon Jovi, the highest placed living Rock God, came in at No.3.

David Bowie and Jimi Hendrix rounded off the Top 5 in fourth and fifth place respectively with Kurt Cobain in 7th position.

The full Top 10 is as follows:

3. Jon Bon Jovi (Bon Jovi)
4. David Bowie
5. Jimi Hendrix
6. Ozzy Osbourne (Black Sabbath)
7. Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)
