Chi Ling Cheng, bass player for the Deftones, is still in a coma one year after a car accident on November 2, 2008.

To help with his medical expenses, the Deftones will play two benefit concerts at The Avalon in Vine St, Los Angeles on this Thursday and Friday, November 19 and 20.

The Chi Ling Cheng Special Needs Trust has been set up to take in funds and pay for Cheng's expenses.

As well as the Deftones benefit shows, Blink 182's Mark Hoppus is also contributing by offering his services for one day in the studio.

Hoppus is up for auction. The highest bidder will get to spend a day in the studio with the Blink 182 frontman and he will produce a song for you.

Other bands doing their bit for Chi Ling Cheng include Rage Against The Machine, Avenged Sevenfold, System of a Down and Ozzy Osbourne.
