Paul Weller has been working with Noel Gallagher and Graham Coxon on his new album, according to reports.

The former Jam star is collaborating with a number of fellow Brit rockers on the follow-up to 2005's "As Is Now".

The Oasis singer-songwriter and fellow band member Gem Archer are understood to have contributed, as has the former Blur man.

Last year, Coxon and Weller recorded a one-off single, "This Old Town", and the pair will again appear together on the new record.

A 'source' told The Sun: "Noel and Oasis's Gem Archer have spent time at Weller's studio. Most sessions end in serious alcohol fuelled tear-ups. But the music has been brilliant."

There is currently no release date for the album, which is rumoured to be a double.
