East London kebab munching 'murder court' homies The Brute Chorus rocked The Star of Bethnal Green at Club Scruffy last night (02/07/08).

N.E.R.D. support act Chester French opened up proceedings in diligent style with their UK live debut. But it was the aforementioned TBC that sweated buckets gracing the heated mass with the classic first single 'Chateau' and 'Hercules' to name but two.

Speaking to Music news after the gig lead singer James Steel commented 'It felt good, it was hot! We loved it'.

The Rumble Strips capped off a fantastic night with their own inimitable brand of rockabilly pop and everyone went home happy.

Rhys Jones from Good Shoes added 'what a great night!'

Club Scruffy will return.

Club Scruffy @ The Star of Bethnal Green (formerly the Pleasure Unit) 359 Bethnal Green road, London, E2 6LG Tel: 0207 729 0167
