Sade returns with 501,000 sales in first week

After a decade away from the spotlight making babies, Sade has returned with a first week sales figure that makes it look like it is still the year 2000.

‘Soldier of Love’, Sade’s first album since ‘Lovers Rock’ in 2000, sold an incredible 501,000 units in the USA in the past week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

America has always love Sade. Her 6 albums have all been Top 10 releases in America.

Led Zeppelin also had 6 consecutive Top 10 albums in America with their first 6 albums so Sade is indeed in rare company.
