Talented new filmmakers travel across the world to get to the Radar Music Video Awards.

Finalists are travelling from Korea, America, Romania, Switzerland and from across the UK to get to the Radar Awards at the ICA on Saturday 12th Jan, presented by Kim Taylor Bennett. Keen to meet music video professionals and each other, they’re also coming to find out who’ll win the popular vote and student prizes and who’s won mentoring from the three production companies supporting Radar this year.

According to Radar founder, Caroline Bottomley, more talented new filmmakers are rapidly coming to the fore and they’re looking for work. “Radar aims to help new music video director talent by promoting them and by generating professional opportunities and contacts. At least two finalists this year are going on to commissions from record labels.”

A selection of from this year’s finalists, including videos for Kylie Minogue, The Heavy and Just Jack can be seen and voted for at http://www.dazeddigital.com/projects/radar/

Tickets are on sale for the Awards, which are on 6-8pm at the ICA, London on Saturday 12th January as part of the London Short Film Festival. They can be bought from http://www.ica.org.uk/Radar%20Awards+15784.twl
