Sir Elton John is taking his 'right-hand man' to court.
The 'Rocket Man' singer has issued a writ against his business partner Bob Halley - who has worked with him for over 30 years - although the details of his case are not known.
Bob, 61, began working for the 60-year-old star as his driver in 1974. Over the years, he had various positions including that of Elton's personal assistant.
The pair developed a close friendship and Bob joined Elton on tour in the 80s. One fan site wrote: "Bob has seen Elton at his best and at his worst, and has stayed by his side when times were tough and when times were fantastic.
"He is Elton's 'right hand man' so to speak. We all appreciate you Bob, thanks for being more than an employee of Elton's - you are a friend." This is the second time Elton has taken an aide to court.
In 2000, the singer had to pay £8 million in legal fees after losing his case against ex-manager John Reid, who he claimed had mishandled his business affairs. Elton tried to sue Reid and accountants PricewaterhouseCoopers for negligence.
