Coldplay bassist forms Apparatjik

Guy Berryman of Coldplay has supergroup side-project he is calling Apparatjik.

Apparatjik features Magne Furuholmen from a-ha, producer Martin Terefe and Jonas Bjerre from Mew.

The name Apparatjik is Swedish and is used to describe people who create bottlenecks in otherwise efficient organizations.

The group was formed to create music for the BBC TV show Amazon.

Apparatjik will make their first appearance in Berlin in a specially constructed cube on Monday February 1.

An album is expected next week as well.
