The BBC's unsigned-bands music-show for Staffordshire, 'Subculture' has passed yet another milestone.

Each week, the programme showcases a local band by recording them in live-session, using BBC engineers and producers - and we can now tell you that the number of local bands to have recorded sessions has passed the magic number of One Hundred!

From the sweet jazziness of Rachel Rimmer to the metal thrash of Betrayal, the boys have welcomed them all through the doors. What's more, all one hundred-plus sessions are still available to be heard, on the SubCulture website.

As Matt Lee, the presenter says: "Anyone who thinks that 'unsigned' means talentless should hear these sessions. The power and the originality in them is awesome."

Bands based in Staffordshire who would like a crack at a BBC session are asked to contact the show. Bands with demos are also asked if they would like to submit them for play on the show.
