The latest acts confirmed to play at the Lake District's most beautiful Deer Park, from Friday 31st July to Sunday 2nd August, include Ash, Idlewild, Goldie Lookin Chain, Frank Turner, Twisted Wheel, Red Light Company, Stanton Warriors, Krafty Kuts and Aim, for this year's Kendal Calling, www.kendalcalling.com

Northern Irish stalwarts Ash will be headlining the Main Stage on Sunday night, following on from Scottish rockers Idlewild - both bands are currently recording and rumoured to be releasing new work soon. Saturday night sees industry-tipped bands for 2009 Twisted Wheel, Nine Black Alps and Red Light Company joining The Zutons, Sunshine Underground and The Travelling Band. Whilst Goldie Lookin Chain and Middleman join The Streets and Riot Jazz as Friday night's Main Stage acts.

Turntable dons Stanton Warriors headline Saturdays Traffic Dance Tent, following on from award-winning DJ Krafty Kuts, local hero Aim and Death on the Balcony amongst others. Reported as one of his favourite festival outings of last year, Howard Marks returns to Kendal Calling's Kayleid Stage. Also confirmed for Kayleid are Frank Turner, Tommy Reilly, Tarras, Mr & Mrs and Captain Hotknives joining Craig Charles.

The New Music Stage will be taken over by a different host each night and feature some of the freshest talent in the UK. Friday The Mighty Boof have selected Lo-Fi Culture Scene, Out from Animals and Atlas to join Fight Like Apes. Saturday's SameTeens line-up features Chewlips, Detroit Social Club, Tommy Sparks, The Answering Machine and Dutch Uncles amongst others. Whilst on Sunday night Club Cog present Kid British, Robb Blake, Lucid Dream, Spuds as some of the bands joining King Blues and Kasms.

The Comedy Stage will see its fair share of music too, with musical comedy from Duncan Oakley and Ruth Cockburn, plus Dan Nightingale, Matt Seber, Andy Rannard, Sam Gore & Chris Roche bringing out the laughs.
