With 2011 fast approaching, Music News takes a look at T in the Park 2011 and who may be appearing this year.
With the reformed Blink 182 already performing next year as well as the returning Foo Fighters, rumours are spreading like wildfire as to the who the third headliner will be for the three day bash.
Already rumoured are The Black Eyed Peas, who performed on the second stage on the Friday of 2010 and are promoting their new album The Beginning. Another rumour is Biffy Clyro who have had a monumental year, hitting the top 10 largely due to promotion from the X Factor with Many of Horror. The band received the biggest crowd at last year’s bash with around 70,000 in attendance to watch their Scottish heroes. They are also set to play a headline set at this year’s Sonisphere festival too.
Other names that have been in the press include The Libertines, Linkin Park, Coldplay and The Gorillaz.
However the most likely bet is Sheffield’s finest, the reformed Pulp. Glastonbury and T in the Park have a history of sharing headliners in the past (Muse, Blur, The Verve) and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Jarvis Cocker and Co. taking to the stage of both this summer.
